NOVEMBER BOARD MEETING
The next Board Meeting is scheduled on November 18, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fountains. If you plan to come and have a specific concern please contact VPM prior to attending the meeting. Homeowners are encouraged to attend and get involved in their community!

Architectural Review Committee
Homeowners making any structural changes to the exterior of their home should fill out an Architectural Improvement Application and Review Form and submit it to VPM prior to beginning any project. Please make sure to include sketches or plans and as much detail as possible.
Homeowners needing ARC forms should contact VPM. The ARC meets the 1st Tuesday of each month.

Crime Report
During the month of November, no crimes were reported to Patty. However, someone stole the new butterfly signs at the Meadowbrook entrances. The Board is in the process of replacing them. Remember if you see a crime in progress call 911 immediately. To report a non-emergency crime, please contact the Sheriff's office at 741-4900. Following your report, please contact Patty at 293-5467 to include the crime in the next issue of the Meadowbrook News. Please remember to keep all valuables and vehicles secure and out of sight!! We don't want to tempt anyone.

LOST AND FOUND
If you lost an item of value or a family pet, please submit your announcement to the editor at

RECIPE CORNER

Cape Cod Cranberry Velvet Pie
1 6 oz. Keebler Ready Crust
Shortbread Pie Crust
1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 cup (1/2 pint) whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 16 oz can whole berry cranberry sauce

In large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. In small mixer bowl, beat whipping cream, sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Gradually add to cream cheese, beat until smooth and creamy. Set aside a few whole cranberries for garnish. Fold remaining sauce into whipped mixture. Spoon into pie crust. Freeze 4 hours or until firm. Garnish with reserved berries. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.(Makes 8 servings)

JOIN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
The Neighborhood Watch is currently looking for an AREA LEADER. Some of the duties include: *Coordinating activities of Block Captains and Block Leaders participating in the program *Recruits neighborhood residents into the program *Acts as a liaison with the police or sheriff's department and disseminates information communicated to them which may lead to the solution of the crime. *Without an area leader, the Neighborhood Watch Program will discontinue.

WELCOME NEW BOARD MEMBER
The Board of Directors would like to welcome Kris Weishapl to the Meadowbrook Board. Kris has been a five year resident in Meadowbrook and would like to get involved to maintain the community standards. Correction to the October Newsletter: There was only one new position needed at this time.

POOL NEWS
Bids to resurface the pool deck are ongoing. The BBQ pits will also be repaired or rebuilt as needed. Bids to complete this will be finalized in November. Additional pool repairs will be made to the restrooms and outdoor shower.
