Board Meeting Notes
September 11, 2004 was the last day to pick up your pool key card. If you did not pick it up please contact VPM to make arrangements to receive it. Remember that since September 13, 2004 the street gate at the pool is permanently closed to all residents. As you can see in our Crime Report section, crime is up in Meadowbrook. Vandalism at the pool after hours and drug arrests are also up. Please keep an eye out on your teens whereabouts since most incidents have been the result of Meadowbrook teens violating curfew and our pool. More lighting will be added to the pool in the near future.

The Meadowbrook Community yard sale will be scheduled for October 8-10, 2004. So start your Fall cleaning now! The next board meeting is Thursday, September 23, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fountains. Please attend!

Crime Report

During the month of August, several crimes were reported to Patty. A woman on Firebrook had a ceramic donkey stolen out of her front yard. If someone in Meadowbrook finds it, call Patty and she will contact the owner or just put it back.On July 24, at 7:45 in the morning, a man was stalking the women at the pool. He was a white male with brown hair in his early to mid 40's. This incident was reported to the sheriff.

Also, during August, these crimes were reported to Patty:
a company truck was parked on Troutbrook and left running while the owner went in his house. It was gone when he came back. The sheriff was called and the vehicle recovered a few hours later, minus some technical equipment. The police took fingerprints and found other evidence. Also, tools were stolen out of a van on the same street. This vehicle was unlocked. Some smaller items were also stolen from an unlocked vehicle on this same street. Please remember to keep all valuables and vehicles secure and out of sight!! We don't want to tempt anyone.

Remember if you see a crime in progress call 911 immediately. To report a non-emergency crime, please contact the Sheriff's office at 741-4900. Following your report, please contact Patty at 293-5467 to include the crime in the next issue of the Meadowbrook News.
